Posting Overview:

The Barista is the foundation of the café. The Barista is responsible for honoring each and every customer by providing excellent customer service and a high quality product. The Barista is a true professional that displays a positive attitude at all times to ensure the return of our customers who are the reason for our business. Additional duties of the lead Barista include but are not limited to assisting managers in setting standards for service, cleanliness and par levels. Develop training model and training materials for all baristas. Aid managers in scheduling and time-off requests. Help with implementation of new menu items and recipes.

Education/Formal Training

High school education or equivalent experience.

Experience

Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred.

Material/Equipment Used

Chemicals/Agents: Bleach, Lime Away, grease cutter, all purpose, floor cleaners

Protective Clothing: Hair restraint/hat, gloves, apron and safety shoes as required by State

Knife, cutting board, toaster, slicer, blenders, coffee and espresso machines

Standard restaurant equipment including but not limited to coffee machines, ice machines, toasters and beverage dispensers. Broom, mop, vacuum and carpet shampooer. Continual exposure to hazardous chemicals used for cleaning.

Environment

Physically strenuous -prolonged standing, walking, lifting and carrying throughout entire shift in indoor environment.
